The veil of frost

The veil of frost

Tall stands d flower fair n bright,
Radiant n glowing in its luminous beauty.

To the world it seems an epitome of grace,
A source or mirth, an edifice of duty.

But no one knows what it has lost,
Its all tall but lonely in the wicked frost.
There it stands untouched and exact,
Beneath d crust, its sweetness intact.

Resting its fears and fighting its tears,
It yearns for someone special and dear.

Waiting for the warmth and bliss of touch,
With hope in its heart the wait doesn’t seem much.

Hope it does and wait it will, for that someone
To make d chambers of the soul with happiness fill.

That one day,
Shedding the frost of gloom,
Again shall the flower merrily bloom.
